🥘 Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 200g powdered sugar
  • 2 pots of yogurt
  • 1 glass of oil
  • 1/2 glass of orange juice
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 jar of pitted cherries in syrup
  • 220g flour
  • Coarse sugar
  • A pinch of salt

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Begin by beating the eggs with sugar and salt in a bowl until the mixture whitens. Add oil slowly, mix well, then add yogurt, orange zest, and orange juice. Continue to work, then gradually add sifted flour and baking powder while continuing to mix until a homogeneous batter is obtained.
  2. Sprinkle a buttered cake pan with coarse sugar at the bottom. Cover the bottom of the pan with cherries in layers, then pour the batter over it and sprinkle with coarse sugar again.
  3. Preheat your oven to 180°C, then pour the batter into the oven and bake for 45 minutes.
  4. Use a knife to check the cake’s baking. Once baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool before demolding.
