Chicken Skewers
In Asian kitchens, chicken skewers are an unavoidable classic during family gatherings or friend’s parties. Originating from the Southeast Asian region, this recipe has captured hearts with its subtle blend of aromas and flavors. Marinated chicken pieces, colorful bell peppers, and chopped onion create a dish that harmoniously evolves with the guests, creating unforgettable moments.
🥘 Ingredients
- 1 chicken breast
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper
- Chopped parsley to taste
- Salt, pepper
👨🍳 Instructions
- Remove bones from the chicken breast and cut into cubes.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, fresh grated ginger, mustard, chopped parsley, hot pepper, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken cubes to this mixture and cover them completely. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Soak the skewers in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain them.
- Dice the red and green bell peppers.
- Peel and dice the onion.
- Wrap the skewers alternately with chicken pieces, red and green bell pepper pieces, and onion pieces.
- Cook the skewers on the grill, turning them to brown each side.
- Serve hot.
