This flaky, round, and silky pastry hides a delicious secret: a tomato sauce, caramelized onions, roasted bell peppers, and half apricots, which marry for an unforgettable tasting experience.
🥘 Ingredients
- Puff pastry
- 1 can of apricots
- 1 onion
- 5 grated tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 1 green bell pepper
- 100g grated mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 50g black olives
- Salt, pepper
👨🍳 Instructions
- Peel the onion, then cut into thin rounds and separate with fingers.
- Wash and seed the green bell pepper, then cut into rounds.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan, add the grated tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, and cook at low heat until a thick sauce is obtained.
- Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of 3mm, cut into squares using a pastry cutter, place them on an oiled baking sheet, cover with tomato sauce, then arrange the onion rings, bell pepper rounds, and decorate with apricot half rounds and black olives, finally sprinkle with grated mozzarella.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until the pastry is golden.
- Serve immediately.
