🥘 Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 teacup of milk (thee cup in this context is a standard French measurement equivalent to approximately 237 ml)
  • 1/2 teacup of oil
  • 1 grated onion
  • 1 spoonful of butter
  • 1 spoonful of chopped parsley
  • 4 packets of baking powder
  • A piece of grated cheese
  • Some salt
  • Some pepper
  • Some hot pepper
  • 3 teacups of flour

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Grate the onion using a large hole grater, then sauté it in a pan with a little bit of butter until it becomes tender and golden.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks using an electric mixer until they become creamy and smooth. Add the chopped parsley, sautéed onion, grated cheese, salt, pepper, hot pepper, and mix well.
  3. Add the milk and oil, mix well, then gradually add the sifted flour and baking powder and mix until the mixture becomes homogeneous.
  4. Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured cake pan and bake in a moderately heated oven until the cake is golden brown (approximately 35-40 minutes).
  5. Beat the egg whites until stiff and gently fold them into the mixture, then pour the mixture into the cake pan.
  6. Let the cake bake for the specified time, then let it cool before removing it from the pan and serving.
