🥘 Ingredients

  • 2 tea glasses (thee) of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tea glass (thee) of melted butter
  • 1/2 tea glass (thee) of oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 liter (litre) of warm milk
  • 1 and a half soup spoons (cuillère à soupe) of baker’s yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon (cuillère à café) of salt
  • 1 kilogram (kg) of flour
  • Filling
  • Egg yolk
  • Sesame seeds

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Mix the yeast and 1 teaspoon (cuillère à café) of sugar in a warm water mixture in a bowl, cover it and let it rest for 8 minutes in a warm place.
  2. Add all the liquid ingredients (warm milk, oil, delayed yeast, eggs, melted butter) to your bread machine, start it up about 4 minutes before adding the powdered sugar. Then mix well until all the ingredients are homogeneous, then add sifted flour little by little until you get a very soft dough.
  3. Transfer the dough to a bowl and cover it with a clean cloth. Let the dough rise in a warm place until it doubles in volume.
  4. Form mandarin-sized brioche balls and arrange them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Let the dough rise again near a heat source, brush them with egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  5. Bake the brioches in a moderately hot oven until they are puffed and golden brown.
  6. Let the brioches cool on a wire rack before serving.
