And here, I present to you a legendary recipe that evokes the flavors of this sunny terrain: a puff pastry roll that unites the exotic flavors of the region, with tomatoes, pineapples, onions, and bell peppers, wrapped in shredded mozzarella. A perfect starter to awaken your taste buds and transport you to the charming streets of Provence!
🥘 Ingredients
- Puff pastry
- 1 can of pineapples
- 1 onion
- 5 peeled and grated tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon of tomato concentrate
- 1 green bell pepper
- 100g of shredded mozzarella
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 50g of black olives
- Salt, pepper
👨🍳 Instructions
- Peel the onion, cut it into thin rounds, and separate the rings with fingers.
- Wash and seed the bell pepper, cut it into rounds.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan, add the grated tomatoes, tomato concentrate, salt, pepper, and cook at low heat until a thick sauce is obtained.
- Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of 3mm, cut this into squares using a pastry cutter, place them on a greased tray. Cover them with tomato sauce, place the onion rings and bell pepper rounds on top, and decorate with pineapple ring halves and black olives, sprinkle with shredded mozzarella.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until the pastry is golden.
- Serve immediately.
