At the heart of Lebanon, where cuisine is always a symbol of love and generosity, biscuits noukra are one of the most appreciated desserts. Here is a traditional recipe to allow you to prepare them at home and share their deliciousness with your loved ones.

🥘 Ingredients

  • 7 eggs (250g)
  • 250g powdered almonds
  • 250g granulated sugar
  • 100g all-purpose flour

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. First, prepare a batter by mixing 125g of sugar with five egg yolks beaten with a whisk until they become creamy and mousse-like. Then add the 250g of powdered almonds, flour, and two egg whites beaten until the mixture is homogeneous and smooth.
  2. Secondly, preheat your oven to 180°C (conventional oven temperature) or 160°C (warm oven temperature), depending on your oven.
  3. Thirdly, form small balls of dough with your hands and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spaced about 2 cm apart from each other.
  4. Fourthly, bake the biscuits noukra for approximately 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown and they are slightly firm.
  5. Lastly, let them cool before serving!
