🥘 Ingredients

  • The dough
  • 250g of flour
  • 250g of soft wheat
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking yeast
  • Salt
  • The filling
  • 250g of chicken breast meat
  • 1 onion
  • 3 grated carrots
  • 50g of green olives, cut into rounds
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • Frying oil
  • Salt, pepper

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Put the flour and soft wheat in a pile on a bowl, add salt, baking yeast, and sugar, add warm water little by little while mixing until you get a homogeneous and soft dough.
  2. Knead this dough for half an hour, adding water if the dough is too hard, oil it, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise.
  3. Form small balls from this dough, about the size of apricots, and let them rest.
  4. Cut the chicken breast meat into small pieces.
  5. Peel the onion and cut it into small pieces.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onion until it turns golden, add the pieces of chicken, let them turn golden, then add the grated carrots, chopped parsley, green olive rounds, salt, and pepper, and cook for a few minutes.
  7. Place a ball of dough on a well-oiled table, stretch it into a round pastry sheet, put 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of this pastry, fold the edges of the pastry over the filling and seal tightly to obtain a ball, repeat this process until all the dough and filling are used up.
  8. Fry the filled balls in hot oil until they turn golden, drain them on absorbent paper.
  9. Serve immediately.
